About the Lakes Park Enrichment
Foundation

The Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation was established in 2004
as a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization by a group
of Lee County business leaders along with dedicated citizens who
recognize Lakes Park as an extremely important green area in
Lee County. The foundation is dedicated to helping restore
Lakes Park to a native Florida wildlife environment through assisting
Lee County Parks & Recreation with the implementation of its
$30 million master plan, which was adopted by the Lee County Board
of Commissioners in April 2004.

A Cooperative Agreement has been entered into between the foundation and
the county where the county has agreed to allow the foundation to coordinate
and provide services toward projects that fall under the master plan.

Your Donations at work!

The Foundation has approved several projects in the park for 2012, they are; A Wildlife Viewing Station, A Vertical Bromeliad Garden, and New and Improved Signage including a "What's In Bloom" information board for the Fragrance Garden.
